Cat Invasion Weapon Tier List
Range is S for solo high waves. Melee is the early coin dump, not the late-wave plan.
Weapon rank in Cat Invasion is a coin-order problem, not a fashion problem. Public solo high-wave routes start on melee, pause to upgrade, then live on range. This page letters that split. For the full tree, merchant notes, and pause timing, use weapons and upgrades. For a spend checklist, open the upgrade planner.
This is a fan ranking from public runs and tutorials, not an official OneBed Studio list. If a clip shows a baguette at wave 80, check whether the player already maxed range off-camera.
S — range after the early melee dump
Snowball, upgrading toward rock, is the S opener on the range tree. Tutorials are blunt: melee until you have a couple hundred coins, pause the wave, buy the snowball upgrade, then keep feeding that line. Later range options on the same idea are bow and laser cannon. Those are the public tools for spawn-killing packs without standing in them.
S does not mean buy range at wave 1. S means once the first coin pile exists, range is the upgrade that still works at Floppa and beyond. Solo players who stay in the cat pile with a tuna get clipped by lasers they never had to eat.
Aim assist on, distance from the spawn line, and pausing between waves matter as much as the letter. A laser cannon you never upgrade is not S.
A — melee for the first coins
Sword, pillow, baguette, and tuna are A for the opening stretch. They are cheap, they clear the first packs, and they exist so you can reach the pause that buys range. Public routes do not treat them as the wave-100 plan.
Baguette clips are fun. Fun is not the same as S. If you like melee, use it until the merchant or the 200-coin pause, then leave. Carrying tuna into wave 50 because it looks like a snack is how Floppa farms you.
Melee stays A in a packed lobby if someone else already covers range and you are peeling cats off the wooden wall. Even then, armor and turrets usually beat a fourth melee skin.
B — mixed kits and late melee
B: a bow you bought without finishing snowball upgrades. You have range in name, not in damage.
B: laser cannon placed as a trophy while coins sit unspent. Place it, upgrade it, or sell the idea and go back to snowball.
B: melee after you already own a working range line, used only to slap a cat that reached the door. That is a backup, not a tree.
C — the traps
C: dumping every coin into melee skins because the next pillow looks funnier. Public high-wave meta is range after early melee.
C: ignoring the merchant when a coin boost is for sale. Coin boost is the multiplier that makes later range upgrades possible. Skipping it to buy a tuna is how you stall at wave 30.
C: standing on the spawn for splash damage you do not have yet. Range wants distance. Melee wants the pack. Mixing those positions is how you die with an upgraded snowball in your hand.
Armor sits next to the weapon letter
Weapons do not replace armor. Public breakpoints are leather, chain mail around 500, knight around 1000, brick wall around 1750, and about 3000 armor at wave 50 for Floppa. If your range is S and your armor is empty, the letter on this page will not save you.
Turrets are the other half of late waves. The +3 Turret Limit gamepass is a convenience for that job, not a weapon rank. Read gamepasses after you can already survive on coins.
A copyable spend order
This is the public solo skeleton, not a promise:
- Melee until roughly 200 coins.
- Pause. Upgrade snowball toward rock.
- If the merchant sells a coin boost, buy it.
- Keep pausing to feed range at about 250, then 550, then whatever the next upgrade costs.
- Before wave 50, find the 3000-armor buy and stop standing still for Floppa lasers.
- Only then look at bow and laser cannon as the next range steps.
Use the upgrade planner to tick those pauses. If a group Medic is carrying revives, you can be slightly greedier on coins; you cannot skip armor.
Class does not override this list
Medic, Ninja, and Alchemist change how a wipe feels. They do not make late melee S. Ninja comments that mention high waves almost always sit next to range advice. Medic without range still needs someone else to delete packs.
Gold buys classes and meta progress. Coins buy the tree on this page. Do not spend Gold trying to skip the snowball line.
How we will move letters
If a patch changes snowball upgrade costs, merchant stock, or laser cannon placement, S can move. Cat Invasion was still being patched in September 2026. Until a patch says melee scales into late waves, the fan list stays: melee to start, range to live.
The test after every run is simple. If you died in the pack with a pillow, you spent like a C. If you died at range with no armor at Floppa, you ranked the weapon right and skipped the armor row. If you died behind a rock-line snowball because nobody revived, that is a class problem, and you want the class tier list instead of a new sword.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, waves, classes, and bosses.
What is the S-tier weapon in Cat Invasion?
Range after a short melee opener. Snowball upgrading toward rock is the public solo start, then bow and laser cannon. Details on weapons and upgrades.
When should I stop using melee?
After the first couple hundred coins, or as soon as you can pause and buy snowball. Melee is A for the opener, not the wave-100 plan.
Is baguette or tuna ever S-tier?
Not for solo high waves. They are early clears and meme clips. Keep them only as a backup once range is online.
Do I upgrade weapons between waves?
Yes. Pause, spend, then resume. The upgrade planner exists so you do not buy the wrong row while cats climb the wall.
Does class change the weapon tier list?
No. Ninja and Medic still want range for late waves. Class rank lives on the class tier list.
Is this an official weapon ranking?
No. It is a fan list from public runs and tutorials, not a OneBed Studio document.
