Getting Started in Cat Invasion
Lobby buttons, coins versus Gold, and the first-hour spend order before Floppa.
Your first Cat Invasion session is a lobby problem, then a coin problem. The Roblox place is already live: OneBed Studio released the game on December 25, 2025 as a free-to-play survival wave-defense. You can run invasions alone or with an online group of up to 18. The wooden base is the thing you are defending. If the cats chew through the walls, the run is over even if your avatar is still standing.
Do not start a long invasion until the lobby is cleaned up. Open Cat Invasion on Roblox, let the lobby finish loading, and hit the Codes button on the right. Type 19MVISITS and 900KMEMBERS exactly, then Redeem. Each code is 250 Gold. That is 500 Gold you do not have to farm. Codes are case-sensitive and work once per account. The full list and expired history live on the codes hub. After codes, glance at daily rewards so the seven-day login that unlocks Alchemist is actually counting.
Coins versus Gold
Coins are the in-run currency. You earn them by killing meme cats, and you spend them on weapons, armor, walls, builders, turrets, food, and merchant potions. Coins do not follow you into the next invasion. A wipe with 2,000 coins in the pocket is a wipe with nothing.
Gold is the meta currency. Codes, events, shop purchases, and some rewards pay Gold. You use it between runs for lasting progress such as classes. Gold Farming explains Golden Weekend, the Double Gold pass, and the AFK zone. For the first hour, treat Gold as something you collect and hold, not something you dump into a random lobby cosmetic.
The first-hour spend order
The loop that keeps new players alive is simple, and it matches the solo route later used to reach wave 100. Start on melee. The melee options you will see early include a sword, a pillow, a baguette, and tuna. Swing until you have about 200 coins. Then pause the wave and put those coins into range. The starter ranged line is the snowball, which upgrades toward a rock. Bows and the laser cannon show up as you keep dumping coins into range.
After the first range buy, coins become the whole game. If the merchant is selling a coin-boost potion, buy it before vanity melee. Coin boosts pay for every later upgrade. Damage potions can wait until you are close to Floppa. Food (fish, tuna, hearts) is for topping health after a bad hit, not for replacing armor. Walls and builders matter once cats start landing on the wood; turrets help, but they should not starve the range upgrades that actually clear a wave.
Armor is a timed purchase, not a first-wave purchase. Leather is the early option. Chain mail sits around 500 coins, knight around 1,000, brick wall around 1,750, and the expensive armor around 3,000 coins is the wave 50 buy. Plasma Armor is a 79 Robux gamepass if you want a paid shortcut. For a free first hour, ignore Plasma Armor and keep coins pointed at range until Floppa is on the calendar.
Pause, aim assist, and the wooden base
How to Play is the full controls page. The two settings that change the first hour are pause and aim assist. You can freeze waves to shop. Use that. Standing in the open while you hunt a menu is how green crates get ignored and walls get chewed. Aim assist exists; leave it on for solo range so snowballs and later shots track cats that slip past the gate.
Your job is still the base. Cats path into the wood. Builders repair. Extra walls buy time. Turrets add chip damage while you kite. Green crates can appear during a run; pick them up when the lane is calm, not while a fat cat is on the boards. Perks and the AFK zone are lobby/meta systems. They help later accounts. They do not replace a clean coin order on run one.
Solo, groups, and classes
A first hour can be solo. Solo is easier to pause and easier to spend correctly because nobody else is vacuuming coins. Group servers go up to 18 and are better once someone owns Medic, the class that revives teammates. Ninja is a grind unlock. Alchemist is the day-7 daily reward. Do not invent a fourth class or spend Gold before you read How to Unlock Classes and the tier list. The players hub is the roster companion.
If you group on day one, say you are new and ask people not to skip pause shops. A lobby that never pauses will starve range upgrades and walk into Floppa in leather. If the group is chaotic, leave and run solo until you understand the merchant and the 3,000-coin armor breakpoint.
First-hour checklist
- Redeem both live codes from the codes hub.
- Turn aim assist on and confirm you can pause between waves.
- Melee to about 200 coins, then buy range (snowball).
- Buy merchant coin boosts the first time they appear.
- Keep range ahead of walls, turrets, and fancy melee.
- Eat fish, tuna, or hearts only when you actually need health.
- At the wave 50 boss window, buy the expensive armor and follow How to Beat Floppa.
That is the entire first hour. You do not need a perfect perk tree, a maxed turret line, or a named class to survive the tutorial waves. You need coins in range, a pause habit, and enough armor when the first named cat arrives. After one clean run, switch to the wave 100 guide if you want badges, or to Gold Farming if the shop is the bottleneck. Come back to this page only when a friend is spawning for the first time and needs the lobby order, not another boss speech.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, waves, classes, and bosses.
What should I do first in Cat Invasion?
Load the lobby, redeem **19MVISITS** and **900KMEMBERS** on the codes hub, turn aim assist on, then start a run and melee until you have about 200 coins.
What is the difference between coins and Gold?
Coins are in-run upgrade money and disappear when the invasion ends. Gold is the meta currency from codes, events, and the shop. See Gold Farming for Gold sources.
Should I play the first hour solo or in a group?
Solo is cleaner for learning pause shopping. Groups support up to 18 players and get more value once someone has Medic. Both modes are online and available now.
When do I buy armor in the first hour?
Keep coins in range until the wave 50 boss window, then buy the expensive armor around 3,000 coins. Earlier pieces (chain mail ~500, knight ~1,000) are optional if you are getting clipped.
Which class should a new player chase?
Log in for seven days to unlock Alchemist. Medic and Ninja are grind unlocks. Read How to Unlock Classes before spending Gold.
