Reach Wave 100 in Cat Invasion
Solo range-upgrade route: melee to 200, snowball, coin boosts, max range, armor at 50.
Wave 100 is a real badge in Cat Invasion, and only about 5% of players hold it. Wave 150 drops to about 1.6%. The climb is not a secret class or a hidden turret; it is a coin order. This page follows the solo range-upgrade route used in clear-speed tutorials (the Ricoko path): melee until you have about 200 coins, dump into the snowball line, buy merchant coin boosts on sight, max range before other vanity upgrades, then buy the expensive armor around 3,000 coins at the wave 50 boss. For the Floppa mechanics themselves, jump to How to Beat Floppa instead of padding this page with laser callouts.
Setup: solo, aim assist, pause
Play solo. A solo spawn is easier to control, and nobody else will steal the pause shop. Turn aim assist on. You will be on range for most of the run, and assist is how snowballs become a lane-clear tool instead of a miss simulator. If you still need the button locations, read How to Play once, then come back.
Pause every time you are about to spend. The route below is a sequence of coin breakpoints. If you shop while cats are already on the wood, you will miss a merchant boost and the whole curve slips. Redeem working codes in the lobby first so Gold is not the reason you are rushing.
Breakpoints
- Melee until you have a little over 200 coins. Sword, pillow, baguette, or tuna are all fine. You are not building a melee identity. You are buying time.
- Pause and upgrade the snowball. Range is the solo weapon. The snowball line upgrades toward a rock. Later coins continue into bow and laser cannon as the range tree allows. Do not split those coins back into melee skins.
- Bank toward about 250 coins. If the merchant is selling a coin-boost potion, buy it immediately. Coins are the resource that buys every later breakpoint. A boost now is better than a pretty wall now.
- Upgrade range again. Keep your feet away from the pack. Range with area damage punishes people who stand on the spawn. Attack from farther back and let the shots cover the lane.
- Bank toward about 550 coins, pause, upgrade range again. Still do not buy random melee. Still do not max turrets before range.
- Repeat. Every spare coin goes into range until that tree is done. If the merchant restocks a higher-tier coin potion, buy it. Pick up at least two damage potions before the wave 50 boss so Floppa is not a white-knuckle tickle fight.
- At the wave 50 boss, buy the expensive armor that costs about 3,000 coins. This is the Floppa window. Kite near the boss instead of hiding in the gate; the Floppa guide covers lasers and the ~20% defeat badge. Early footage showed Floppa around 5,000 health — treat that as filmed, not a patch guarantee.
Armor before that breakpoint is a safety valve, not the plan. Leather is whatever you spawned with. Chain mail around 500 coins, knight around 1,000, and brick wall around 1,750 exist if you are getting clipped. The route still wants the 3,000-coin piece at 50. Plasma Armor at 79 Robux is a gamepass skip, not a requirement for the 100 badge.
What you are allowed to buy besides range
Coin boosts: always. Damage potions: at least two before Floppa, more if the merchant is kind. Food (fish, tuna, hearts): when you are actually hurt. Walls and builders: when the wood is taking real damage, not as a default tax. Turrets: after range is online, as extra chip, not as your DPS plan. Green crates: loot on a pause or a dead lane.
What you are not allowed to buy: a second melee identity, a full turret garden at wave 15, and every food stack the second it appears. Those purchases are how people “play a lot” and still sit under wave 75.
After Floppa, still dump range
If Floppa dies and range is not maxed, you are not done with the shop. Waves 50–100 are a spawn-volume problem. Maxed range spawn-kills. Standing on the gate with a baguette does not. Keep pause shopping. Keep assist on. Keep distance.
Classes are a bonus, not the route. Medic matters in groups because of revives. Ninja is a grind unlock. Alchemist is the day-7 daily. None of them replace the coin order. If you want a class while you climb, read How to Unlock Classes and the tier list. Do not derail a solo 100 attempt to experiment in an 18-player chaos server.
Wave badges sit at 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 175, 200, 225, 250, 500, and 1,000. This page is the 100. The same range habit is what makes 125 and 150 possible; those later walls are boss-check pages, not a new economy. Use the boss walkthrough once El Gato and friends start showing up.
After the 100 badge
The 100 badge is a systems test you already passed if range is maxed and Floppa armor was on time. Do not immediately throw the loadout into a full turret respec. Bank Gold with the habits on Gold Farming, keep dailies rolling, and decide whether the next target is wave 150, a named cat after Floppa, or a class. Group only if a Medic is actually going to revive and the lobby will still pause.
If you missed 100 because you died at 50, you do not need a new wiki tab. You need the 3,000-coin armor, two damage potions, and the Floppa kite. If you missed 100 because you died at 80 with leftover coins, you need to stop buying melee. Run the breakpoints again from wave 1. The cats do not get bored of the same correct shop.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for codes, waves, classes, and bosses.
What is the Cat Invasion wave 100 route?
Solo, aim assist on, melee to about 200 coins, upgrade snowball range, buy merchant coin boosts, max range, then buy ~3,000-coin armor at the wave 50 boss. Details are in the breakpoints above.
Why play wave 100 solo?
Solo spawns are easier to control and you own every pause shop. Groups (up to 18) are fine later, especially with Medic, but they are not required for the 100 badge.
When do I buy the expensive armor?
At the wave 50 boss window, about 3,000 coins. That is the Floppa fight. Earlier armor is optional if you are taking chip damage.
Should I upgrade walls and turrets first?
No. Range first, coin boosts first. Walls, builders, and turrets are support after the weapon is online.
How rare is wave 100?
About 5% of players hold the wave 100 badge. Wave 150 is about 1.6%. Later badges go through 175, 200, 225, 250, 500, and 1,000.
